FORT SMITH (KFSM) — Two officers in the Fort Smith Police Department have been promoted, the department announced Friday (April 1).
Danny Baker was promoted to Captain by interim police chief Dean Pitts. Baker will be assigned to Patrol Operations, after serving in the street crimes unit, narcotics unit and SWAT team. He has been at the police department since July 2001.
Scott Campbell has been promoted to Sergeant by Pitts. He will be assigned to the Patrol Division, after working previously on bicycle patrol, the criminal investigations unit, the narcotics division and most recently as team leader on the SWAT team. He has been with the Fort Smith Police Department since August 1994.
