FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) — Two children were seen playing outside in their underwear, and the police were called on Sunday afternoon (April 3).
Less than one hour when police arrived at a residence on the 1400 block of East 15th Street, the two kids were seen playing inside a trash can in the street, one in his underwear and the other in her diaper.
A Fayetteville police officer took the children back to their mobile home, and their father, James Thigpen, was passed out on a mattress. After he woke up, the officer accused him of being intoxicated. The breath test result was .22.
Thigpen was arrested on suspicion of first-degree endangering the welfare of a minor. He is behind bars at the Washington County Jail on a $2,500 bond.
