MEMPHIS (KFSM) – Arkansas was in need of momentum as they’re entering a stretch of seven consecutive weekends against ranked SEC opponents. The Razorbacks might have gotten that momentum at Memphis on Wednesday.

Arkansas pounded out 17 hits, including a career high four from Cullen Gassasway, as the Hogs rolled over Memphis 12-4 at AutoZone Park.

The Razorbacks (20-9) jumped out to an early 5-0 lead after plating four runs in the second inning, including a Luke Bonfield solo home run to leftfield. Grant Koch and Clark Eagan each added a RBI in the frame to build the early lead.

Six different Arkansas players drove in a run while the Tigers’ defense was plagued by three errors.

Hunter Hart got the win on the mound for the Razorbacks after throwing two scoreless innings in relief and struck out four of the six batters he faced. Dominic Taccolini, who had been Arkansas’ Friday night SEC starter over the first three series, came in relief but allowed two runs on two hits and just an inning and 1/3 of work.

Eagan finished the night going 3-for-6 with a pair of RBI while Koch added three hits as he got the start at catcher and is now hitting .444 on the season.

Arkansas will face No. 18 Ole Miss for a three game series in Oxford, Miss. this weekend.
