Go ahead and pour yourself another cup of coffee.
A new study out of England showed it helps improve reaction time, especially in older adults.
Researchers at the University of Bristol examined the effects of caffeine on a number of cognitive abilities in healthy adults over the age of 55.
They found drinking coffee improved the participants' accuracy on a test called the "stroop," which measures skills such as planning and focusing.
The goal behind this study was to figure out what role coffee may play in boosting attention, and ultimately in treating dementia.
