FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) — For the first time this year, Fayetteville will be packed with local art and music downtown.
It’s part of the monthly First Thursday event and it’s set to kick off April 7th.
First Thursday Fayetteville transforms the city’s historic square into an arts district, featuring the work of more than 40 visual artists, live music, street performers, food and drink vendors and even children’s activities.
In the last few years, First Thursday has become a highly anticipated event for folks. Throughout the season more than 15,000 people come to the downtown area for the event.
However, due to past years with unpredictable rainy weather in the forecast for April, organizers have decided to try something different this month. “This first one will be inside the Fayetteville Town Center,” said Director of Sales, Kelley Carey. “Then May through October the event will be outside on the Downtown Fayetteville Square, as usual.”
The event takes place on the First Thursday of each month from April to October and kicks off at 6 p.m.
