Rogers School District Hires New Superintendent

ROGERS (KFSM) — Less than two days after officially offering the job to a candidate, the Rogers Board of Education has hired its new superintendent.

According to the school district’s Facebook page, Dr. Marlin Berry has accepted the position, and the board approved his contract in a 7-0 vote on Thursday (April 7).

Dr. Berry was in his sixth year as superintendent of Olathe Public Schools in Olathe, Kan., the post stated. He had served as assistant superintendent in the district before being named superintendent in 2010.

He also served on the board for the Kansas School Superintendents’ Association and was the chair-elect for the Kansas Council of Superintendents.

Berry was named the Kansas Superintendent of the Year in 2013.
