FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) -- A woman was reunited with her wedding and engagement rings last week, after losing them while using the Lake Fayetteville trail system.

According to the Fayetteville Police Department, two rings were turned in to police by Debra Anderson.

Anderson said she was walking on the trail near the botanical gardens, when she saw two rings on the gound.

Anderson, who once lost her own wedding ring, decided to turn the jewelry over to police.

Days later, the rings were returned to the owner, after she filed a missing items report with the botanical gardens.

The owner of the rings, Lisa Faust, said Anderson deserved a lot of credit for returning the rings.

Anderson credited her faith in God as the reason why she decided to take the rings to police. She said she believed God put her there at the right time, in order to do the right thing.
