FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – Chad Spanberger had struggled to get consistent at-bats for Arkansas this season but he took advantage of a rare start on Tuesday night against Creighton.

Spanberger blasted his fifth home run of the season and drove in four as the Razorbacks took care of Creighton 6-2 at Baum Stadium.

Arkansas, who had lost nine of their previous 12 games, was in need of a spark as their streak of 14 straight trips to the NCAA tournament is in jeopardy. Spanberger had just seven RBI heading into the game in 60 at-bats quickly added to those totals in the middle innings.

Dave Van Horn used seven different pitchers to get the win while Doug Willey picked up his third save of the season while Isaiah Campbell picked up his third win.

Arkansas returns to SEC play this weekend as they travel to No. 19 Kentucky for a three game series.
