LEXINGTON, KY (KFSM) – Arkansas was just one out away from completing a series sweep of No. 12 Kentucky but the Wildcats had just enough lives to salvage a win in the series finale.
After dropping the first two of the conference series, Kentucky trailed 4-3 heading to the seventh inning but Wildcats plated a pair of runs to steal a 5-4 win on Saturday afternoon.
With runners on the corners and two outs in a tie game in the bottom of the seventh, Troy Squires laced a single into the right-centerfield gap to drive home the winning run for Kentucky.
Arkansas returns home on Tuesday to complete a home-and-home series against Oklahoma State.
