After a wet start to Friday morning another round of rain will arrive this evening. There are two more timeframes to watch:
#1: Friday: 6pm-10pm:
- Severe risk SE Oklahoma and West Central Arkansas. Hail is primary threat. There is a chance we could see rotation along and south of the warm front but the warm front should remain to our southwest.
#2 Friday 10pm - Saturday 7am:
- Continued showers and thunderstorms with a lower severe weather risk. Saturday is trending drier with the best chance for rain early in the day.
The greatest chance for tornadoes will be in the Enhanced area of SE Oklahoma and SW Arkansas.
6PM FRIDAY: The second round will be underway with thunderstorms likely. This is the time when severe weather could occur.
9PM FRIDAY: A minimal severe risk will continue an an additional 1-2" of rain is possible as the front moves from west to east across the area.
3AM SATURDAY: The front will be moving east slowly with the rain slowly ending.
7AM SATURDAY: Rain will still be in the area but slowly ending. The rain on Saturday will not be as heavy as Friday.
Dry weather is expected for Sunday with highs in the mid to upper 70s.
