ROGERS (KFSM) — Northwest Arkansas runners are gearing up for the 2016 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, which is returning to Rogers on Saturday (April 30).

The race will be starting and ending at the Pinnacle Hills Promenade Mall.

The day will start off with a survivor reunion breakfast from 6:30-8:45 a.m. followed by the opening ceremonies at 7:45 a.m.

The first race, the 10K, will start at 7:30 a.m., followed by the competitive 5K at 8 a.m. The non-competitive 5K will begin at 8:30 a.m.

The last event, the Fun Run/Walk, will start at 9 a.m.

All registered runners receive a shirt, race bib and timing chip (if participating in the competitive events) in their registration packet.

There will be a survivors photo taken at 7:50 a.m., and event organizers are asking survivors to line up in front of the food pavilion 10 minutes before the picture.

Awards for the winners in each category will start at 9:30 a.m., wrapping up the Race for the Cure event.
