FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – Brandon Allen’s career at both Fayetteville High School and with the Arkansas Razorbacks were muddled with criticism but the quarterback found a way to get the job done.
Now Allen will try to do the same in the NFL as he was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the sixth round. Allen was the 201st player taken the draft and the fifth different Razorback selected.
Allen threw for 7,463 yards in four seasons at Arkansas, the past three as the starter, along with 64 touchdowns. Entering his junior season, many fans thought Allen would never pan out for the Hogs but the Fayetteville product threw for 5,725 yards in his final two seasons with 50 touchdowns compared to just 13 interceptions.
