FAYETEVILLE (KFSM)- The Razorbacks were looking to win the series against No. 2 Texas A&M in game two, but the Aggies edged the Hogs in the last couple of innings winning game two 11-8 after 11 innings.
Zach Jackson started things off on the mound for the Hogs. Jackson pitched for 4.2 innings and struck-out six, but he allowed six hits and seven runs. Freshman pitcher Blaine Knight got his second loss of the season for allowing the Aggies to take the lead late. At the top of the 11th inning with Knight on the mound Texas A&M’s Hunter Melton hit a two-run home run giving the Aggies the lead. Alberius took over on the mound but, the Aggies went on to score one more run.
In game two Arkansas had 14 hits, but stranded 11 runners. Texas A&M finished with 15 hits, but they only had eight runners left on bases by batters.
The Razorbacks are now 26-17 overall and 7-13 in SEC play.
The series finale will be Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at Baum Stadium.
