LITTLE ROCK – Governor Asa Hutchinson announced on Thursday his intent to grant 10 pardons and no restorations of firearms rights.

An additional 47 clemency requests were denied and two had no action taken upon them. These include requests from both inmates and non-inmates.

The applicants intended for pardons have completed all jail time, fulfilled all parole and probationary requirements and paid all fines related to their sentences. There is a 30-day waiting period to receive public feedback on the notices before final action is taken.

Governor Hutchinson intends to grant pardons to the following people:

  • Matthew C. Caudill (Fayetteville): Commercial Burglary (C Felony) and Theft of Property (C Felony).

This notice is issued based on the date of conviction (2002 – Washington County), the fact that all terms of the applicant’s sentence have been completed and there have been no further felony violations. There are no law-enforcement objections to the application.

  • Carma D. Culver (Paragould): Possession of a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine, two counts (C Felony), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (C Felony) and Theft by Receiving (A Misdemeanor).

This notice is issued based on the dates of conviction (1999 – Poinsett County, 1999 – Craighead County and 2001 – Greene County), the fact that all terms of the applicant’s sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law-enforcement objections to the application.

  • Leandra Adkins Broach (Chester): Obtaining Controlled Substance by Fraud (C Felony).

This notice is issued based on the date of conviction (1989 – Sebastian County), the fact that all terms of the applicant’s sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law-enforcement objections to the application.

  • Brent D. Gorden (Mena): Delivery of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, two counts (Y Felony).

This notice is issued based on the date of conviction (1995 – Polk County), the fact that all terms of the applicant’s sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law-enforcement objections to the application.

  • Marshall Jones (Sherwood): Conspiracy to Manufacture Methamphetamine (A Felony), Attempted Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with Intent to Manufacture Methamphetamine (C Felony), Possession of a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine, two counts (C Felony) and Possession of Pseudoephedrine with Intent to Manufacture Methamphetamine (D Felony).

This notice is issued based on the dates of conviction (2005 – Lonoke County and Pulaski County), the fact that all terms of the applicant’s sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law-enforcement objections to the application.

  • Deborah Livingston (Mabelvale): Theft of Property (Misdemeanor) and Contempt of Court (Probation Revocation).

This notice is issued based on the dates of conviction (1995 and 1996 – Pulaski County), the fact that all terms of the applicant’s sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law-enforcement objections to the application.

  • Carolyn Thompson Nelms (Fort Smith): Forgery and Uttering (Felony), Possession of Marijuana (Misdemeanor), Breaking or Entering (D Felony), Theft of Property (C Felony) and Conspiracy to Possess Dilaudid with Intent to Deliver, two counts (B Felony).

This notice is issued based on the dates of conviction (1966, 1974, 1979 and 1986 – Sebastian County), the fact that all terms of the applicant’s sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law-enforcement objections to the application.

  • Patrick A. Pearson (Gravette): Accomplice to Theft of Property (C Felony).
