ROGERS, Ark. (KFSM) - A spring celebration took over War Eagle Mill in Rogers, which served as a grand opening of sorts.

The shop was back open and ready for business after December 2015 flooding ravaged the first floor of the building. Construction soon god underway and continued through the spring months.

On Saturday (May 7), it was back in business, as long time customers took in what was once familiar.

"We've been here 18 years and the floors used to go back when there was a flood," said Sharon Ducote, who has visited several times a month in the past. "Now they're totally different. It's really remodeled."

Anne Anderson stopped by during the weekend long festivities. She said she enjoyed getting a look at the building which featured so much history.

"It's really cool. I love it," said Anderson. "My first time here and it's absolutely amazing."

Sarah Buck, who works for War Eagle Mill, said she was there to see the damage left behind when flood waters eventually receded. She said it took quite a bit of work to get it back up and running.

"New floors, new walls, like new shelving, got all the product stocked in here," said Buck, marketing manager at the mill. "It's just been real exciting working with the team and get it all back together and get it opened for the public and get everybody back in here today."

With the renovations come new experiences for visitors. A new milling area gives people a better look at the process, which employee Bryan Frymire said had been popular to guests.

"It's a lot easier to view the milling process. They moved the gate back so it's a lot easier to hear," said Frymire. "We are a mill so they're going to be here to view the mill, which they haven't been able to do in awhile."
