Police: Three Arrested After Burglarizing Bentonville Home At Gunpoint

BENTONVILLE (KFSM) — Three people were arrested Wednesday (May 18) after they burglarized a home in Bentonville at gunpoint, according to police.

Officers were called to a home on SE 21st Street just after 1 a.m. where two residents told them they had been watching “We Are Marshall” when they heard someone trying to get in through the back door, police said.

One of the residents saw a man in a mask with a gun kick in the door and both victims hid in a closet where they called a friend, who then called 911, according to police.

Officers located a car with three people inside in the Bentonville High School parking lot behind the victim’s neighborhood, according to police. They found a handgun, a black mask, a DVD player containing “We Are Marshall” and other items stolen from the home. Officers also found controlled substances, police said.

Victor Vega, 18, Kelly Nichols, 19, and Josue Gonzales, 21, were arrested at the scene, according to police.

Vega is facing charges of aggravated residential burglary, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance.

Nichols and Gonzales are each facing a charge of aggravated residential burglary.

All three are being held at the Benton County Jail.
