Siloam Springs Looks To Defend Title After Tough Season

The Siloam Springs Lady Panthers look to defend their back-to-back state titles after a less than perfect season heading into the state tournament.

SILOAM SPRINGS (KFSM) - The Siloam Springs Lady Panthers have one motto.

"Go hard, or go home," sophomore Megan Hutto said.

These ladies are gearing up to defend their back-to-back state titles.

"You know there's been some bumps on the road, but that hasn't stopped us. I feel like it's made us stronger if anything. But, we've really came a long way," Hutto said.

A tough schedule packed with 7A opponents and some early season struggles left Siloam with a less than perfect season. But, these ladies have fought to make their way back to the top.

"It's really, it feels better than just like having a perfect season. We've came so far. You know we've become stronger together," Hutto said.

"I think it's really easy to do it because we have our team," sophomore Audrey Maxwell said. "Like we're all together. It's not one player for themselves."

They'll have to play all together to get past Russellville in the championship who they'll face for a third time. The two split their two games regular season games earlier this year.

"They've got a lot of good players, too. They're going to be physical, and posses the ball a lot," Maxwell said.

They'll vie for their third straight title on Friday with a 2 p.m. start time at Razorback Field.
