FORT SMITH (KFSM) -- Due to rain concerns, Northside High School moved its graduation ceremony from the football stadium to Stubblefield Center Thursday (May 19).
Although it took awhile for people to get indoors for the graduation ceremony the rain didn't stop family and friends from filling up the center.
More than 475 students received their diplomas; the most in school history.
Dylan D'Anna had to wait outside because he didn't have a ticket, but he said he didn't mind the rain.
"We got pretty soaked, but you know, it was worth it because at least we were able to get in," D'Anna said.
D'Anna said he wouldn't have missed the graduation for anything.
"I love [my cousin] so much. I'm just glad I could be here today on her special day," D'Anna said.
Northside Principal Dr. Ginni McDonald mentioned in her speech that she was the first principal in school history to have consecutive graduations rained out.
