FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) - It took a little longer than Bentonville coach Kris Henry hoped but the Lady Tigers took a first half lead in the 7A girls soccer championship game and then ran away with it.
Lauren Holly's first half goal gave Bentonville a lead and the Lady Tigers dominated Cabot from that point as they coasted to a 3-0 win at Razorback Field to win the title in the state's largest classification.
Bentonville pushed that lead to 2-0 as Abby Stolt scored in the 71st minute. Alyssa Carlson found the back of the next seven minutes later as the Lady Tigers pulled away in the final 10 minutes.
Lady Tigers' goalkeeper Gabby Miller was named the Most Valuable Player after a shutout in her second straight game and allowed just one goal in three matches.
