SEQUOYAH COUNTY (KFSM) — Sheriff Ron Lockhart released a statement to 5NEWS, regarding the resignation of a deputy.
“A complaint was filed of inappropriate texts by a deputy and, during an internal investigation, the deputy resigned. At this time, it is unknown if anything criminal [was done] until after additional work done with the phone.”
Lockhart stated that no names have been released, due to the sheriff’s office knowledge of the case and if anything criminal occurred.
