STARKVILLE (KFSM)- Saturday Arkansas was trying to avoid the sweep against No.3 Mississippi State, but the Bulldogs over-powered the Hogs winning 9-4 making it Arkansas’s 13th straight loss.
Razorbacks’ Clark Eagan hit a two run home run in the first inning to give Arkansas ( 26-29, 7-23) an early lead. But, the Hogs could’nt stay consistent on the plate. The Bulldogs’ bullpen held the Razorbacks to just two hits in between the third and seventh inning.
Arkansas committed three errors in the series finale, which lead to five of Mississippi State’s six runs.
With the win Mississippi State (40-14, 21-9) secured the No.1 seed going into the SEC tournament.
