Jonesboro Teen Reportedly Swept Away In Drainage Ditch Found Alive

JONESBORO (WREG) — The teen who was swept away by flood waters in Jonesboro Tuesday afternoon has been found alive.

According to KAIT, the 13-year-old was found alert at Culberhouse and Sims.

EMS is evaluating the teen.

Around 5 p.m., the Jonesboro Police Department confirmed they and the Fire Department were looking for the 13-year-old in the Wesley Court neighborhood after he was reportedly pulled into a drainage pipe.

Jonesboro is currently experiencing flooding due to the significant amount of rain moving through the area.

CBS  affiliate KAIT reported at one point Jonesboro Police were working 25 calls in the area and had to shut down roads in the area because of the flooding.
