FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM)- Senior right-handed pitcher Doug Willey was drafted in the 32nd round, No.966 overall, by the Los Angeles Angels in the third round of the 2016 MLB First-Year Player Draft.
The Senior was a transfer form Franklin Pierce University and only played one season for the Diamond Hogs. Over 28.1 innings pitched he gave up just 11 earned runs compiling a 3.49 ERA in 26 appearances for Arkansas with 29 strikeouts and three saves.
While at Franklin Pierce he recorded 21 saves over his final three seasons, 13 of which came from his Junior season.
