LEFLORE COUNTY (KFSM) — A local man was arrested after a fatal shooting incident Friday night (June 17).
Jerry Loomis, 55, was taken into custody after deputies suspected him of shooting his wife, 49-year-old Bobbye Loomis, in the Summerfield area.
Bobbye was pronounced dead at the scene, with a single gunshot wound to her chest. Deputies stated the gunshot was from a handgun.
Jerry Loomis was arrested on suspicion of murder, although the degree has not yet been determined by the district attorney.
A bond has not yet been set.
