ROGERS (KFSM) -- At the 17th hole at the Northwest Arkansas Championship there's always someone waiting to put a smile on golfers' faces.

Ziva is a Samoyed and she’s become kind of lucky charm on the green.

“I do love animals so I was really excited to get to seventeen and I saw her out there. So hopefully she`ll keep bringing me luck,” said Demi Runas.

Golfer Demi Runas said she remembered Ziva from last year and was glad to see her once again.

"She was standing over on the deck and I was like come here... you know it`s tough out there, it was really hot this morning and it`s going to be hot all week so it was great to be able to have a little break and smile for a sec,” said Runas.

Tom Suchecki, Ziva’s owner said she's been greeting golfers for the past four years.

“If she`s not out here a lot of the players and caddies will come up and say where`s Ziva? And we go get her bring her out and let them play with her. She`s already becoming somewhat of a legend,” said Suchecki.

Golfer Alena Sharp had also seen Ziva a few times before, but Friday (June 24) was the first time she`s gone over to pet her.

“I`m a dog lover...we had a little bit of a wait so I went over and she came down and really sweet dog. It just got my mind off golf and then I got back to focusing so it was good,” said Sharp.

"As long as she's around, she'll be doing the same thing,” said Suchecki.

No surprise Suchecki said Ziva loves the attention.
