Man Arrested After Standoff In Benton County

BENTON COUNTY (KFSM) — A Benton County man was arrested Saturday night (June 25) following a standoff with authorities, according to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.

Douglas Damerville, 40,  is said to have barricaded himself inside his home following a verbal dispute with family.

Damerville made threats to his parents and deputies before SWAT and negotiators were able to get him to voluntarily surrender, according to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.

Officers took the Damerville into custody at the Benton County Jail where he was charged with criminal trespassing, terroristic threatening and assault.

No injuries were reported.
