ROGERS (KFSM) – When Lydia Ko finished her round on Saturday with a 28 on the back nine, tying the overall tournament lead, you could see the world’s top ranked golfer winning the Walmart Northwest Arkansas Championship.

She did just that.

Ko made birdie on four of her first five holes, leading by as many as five strokes, and she pulled away to take her third tour event of the season after setting the tournament record of 17-under. The only trouble Ko ran into came on the final hole as her second shot on the par-5 found the water but she had a four shot lead at the time.

Morgan Pressel, who entered the final round tied for the lead at 14-under, struggled on Sunday as she made bogey four straight holes on the back nine to fall out of contention. Pressel has not won on tour since 2008 as she finished in a tie for second at 14-under (Candie Kung) after a final round of even-par.

German Sandra Gal charged up the leaderboard in the final round but bogey on the final two par-5s led to a tie for fourth at 13-under par. Angela Stanford and Moriya Jutanugarn also finished in the tied for fourth.

Former Razorback Stacy Lewis carded a 3-under round of 68 on Sunday to finish the tournament at 8-under (tied for 20th) but has not won on tour since this event in 2014. Gaby Lopez, who made eagle on the final hole on Saturday to make the cut, finished at 4-under for the tournament which was tied for 60th.
