SPRINGDALE (KFSM) — The Arkansas Children’s Hospital Foundation released renderings of the future Arkansas Children’s Northwest currently under construction in Springdale.
The 37-acre campus is located on Interstate-49 across from Arvest Ballpark and is scheduled to open in January 2018. The construction, technology and equipment is estimated to cost about $167 million, operating expenses will be about $260.7 million and the total investment over five years would be $427.7 million.
The hospital will have 24 inpatient beds, 30 emergency department rooms, 5 operating rooms and 30 clinic rooms.
The facility will serve more than 200,000 children living in the 11-county Northwest Arkansas area.
