WASHINGTON COUNTY (KFSM) — A pop-up shower on Friday afternoon (July 1) has left thousands of people without power in Northwest Arkansas.
More than 2,000 SWEPCO customers were without power in Washington. Nearly 500 Ozark Electric customers were also in the dark in Benton and Washington Counties. Another 2,500 in the Dyer area were without power, according to OG&E.
As of 4:15 p.m., SWEPCO listed 456 without power in Washington County. Dyer was at 304.
The storm came through around 2:45 p.m.
