FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) -- Police have identified a suspect after two people were injured in a shooting on Friday morning (July 29).
Law enforcement is searching for Martesh Logan, 21, of Fayetteville.
A person was shot near the E-Z Mart on the corner of W. Wedington Drive and Rupple Road around 11:15 a.m., said Sgt. Craig Stout, of Fayetteville Police.
A man went into the gas station to pay for gas, and ran into an old acquaintance and the two got into an argument in the parking lot over money, Stout said.
Logan then pulled out a weapon and shot the victim in the arm, Stout said. Then the victim fled to the Walgreens across the street.
A woman who was sitting in the back seat of a nearby car was also injured when she was hit with shattering glass. She did not know the victim or Logan.
The victim was taken to Washington Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police have located the vehicle Logan was driving, which was parked in the driveway of a home along Wedington. The homeowner said she doesn't know the owner of the vehicle.
An investigation is ongoing.
