Three Arrested After Teen Shot In Roland

ROLAND (KFSM) — Police have released additional details in the shooting of a Roland teenager on Monday (July 25).

Kevinn Castleberry and Nico Castleberry are facing charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to police records. A male juvenile is facing assault and battery with a deadly weapon, willfully pointing a firearm, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Roland police received a tip that a woman had been shot just before midnight Monday night and was being transported to a Fort Smith hospital by a friend, according to police records.

After interviewing the victim at the hospital, police learned that the shooting happened in a Roland apartment complex.

Police found a blood-soaked linen, live rounds of ammunition, a green leafy substance and a white powdery substance, along with several items of drug paraphernalia during a search of the apartment, the record states.

Officers arrested the apartment’s tenant, Kevinn Castleberry, along with Nico Castleberry and the male juvenile.

The case has been sent to the Oklahoma Juvenile Affairs office in Sallisaw.

The victim underwent one surgery, and was later released from the hospital.
