FORT SMITH (KFSM) — At least one person is seriously injured after a motorcycle collided with a car Thursday afternoon (Aug. 4) in Fort Smith, according to Sergeant Wes Milam.
The accident happened near the intersection of 41st and Grand Avenue about 12:15 p.m.
Investigators say a red Chevrolet car was driving north on 41st Street when the driver pulled out in front of a motorcycle traveling east on Grand Avenue. The motorcyclist had a helmet but police said they were unsure if he was wearing it at the time of the accident.
The motorcyclist was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital with multiple injuries.
