PRAIRIE GROVE (KFSM) - Tradition runs deep for Danny Abshier and his football program but now he and Prairie Grove will attempt to top the best season in school history.

The Tigers reached the 4A championship game for the first time in school history in 2015 after reeling off 13 straight wins but Prairie Grove must replace several big time performers from a year ago.

"Well the first guy that comes to my mind, two way starter at defensive tackle and offensive tackle is Jack Stone," Abshier said. "Jack's a big, lean, heavy dude. Got a little attention from some college guys, and Jack's pretty strong."

The 6-foot-5 senior will anchor both sides of the line for the Tigers and is ready to take over as a lead for Prairie Grove.

"We just worked on our technique on the D-line, we're putting that together our defense is looking pretty good," Stone said. "We just gotta get our conditioning up and get in shape for that. But offense is getting put together pretty nice and defense is getting there too."

The Tigers must replace all-conference quarterback Sam Dodd (2,300 yards, 29 TD), all-state running back Blake Faulk (1,700 yards, 29 TD) and Iowa State signee Dylan Soehner.
