ROLAND (KFSM)- The Roland football team has grown into a force to be reckoned with, but like many other teams they are faced with the challenge of new faces in the starter positions. The Rangers had a large talented senior class graduate leaving them with only four total returning starters.

"I've never in 25 years of coaching had this many on both sides of the ball to replace," said Streun. "You know there's been times where you may have to fill a void of five, or six kids, or eight kids but never this many so this would definitely be the epitome of a rebuilding year."

Despite not having many from the group that lead Roland to back-to-back 3A quarterfinals the current Rangers members have no plans on back tracking on the success that they have had over the years. The fresh faces on the team are ready to prove themselves this fall.

"I ain't never lost a district championship since I've been here," said Mustin. " All the young guys want to keep the tradition going and don't want to be a drop off this year. We put in the work, we train hard every day all off-season we did everything hard because we want to keep the streak going."

Roland's season opener will be August 26th against Checotah.
