FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) — All lanes of traffic at the intersection of Huntsville Road and Happy Hollow are now back open after a single-vehicle accident forced a shut-down earlier Friday morning (Aug. 19) , according to Fayetteville Police.

The intersection was closed for about two hours while police investigated what happened.

The accident happened just before 4:30 a.m. Two adults and a toddler were inside the vehicle at the time. All three were hospitalized with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

Officers said two investigations are now underway: one into the motor vehicle collision and another into whether the driver was intoxicated at the time of the crash.
