FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) -- Most University of Arkansas students are all settled in at this point, and now it's time for them to start classes.
Classes began on Monday (Aug. 8), and to make it easier, especially for new students on campus in Fayetteville, the university hosted "Help a Hog," where volunteers were available to give directions, building codes and to answer any other questions new students and families may have, as part of Welcome Weeks.
The University also hosted a cookout at the Union Mall, where members of the student government welcomed everyone back to campus. In the evening there will be bingo for students to make new friends and grab a free bite to eat.
Madison Mick, who's a freshman at the university, said, "I feel like a lot of people from here like this, it's a beautiful campus."
According to preliminary numbers, University of Arkansas spokesman Steve Voorhies said this is the largest incoming freshman class and also the most students overall for the university.
