FORT SMITH (KFSM) — A lawsuit filed in 2014, in which three Fort Smith police officers claimed they were unjustly disciplined in an Arkansas whistleblower act, will go before a judge and jury.
The Arkansas Court of Appeals overturned a circuit court decision to dismiss the case.
The three officers at the time, Don Paul Bales, Rick Entmeier and Wendall Sampson, Jr. claimed the evidence in the lawsuit was never heard.
The lawsuit was filed against the City of Fort Smith and the former police chief, Kevin Lindsay.
