FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – With their sights set on a turnaround form last season’s disappointing 16-16 season, Arkansas has released it’s non-conference men’s basketball schedule for the 2016-17 campaign.

The Razorbacks will play seven teams that won 20 or more games last season while three reached the NCAA tournament.

Two of the biggest names on the schedule come from the Big XII as the Razorbacks will renew their rivalries with Texas and Oklahoma State. Arkansas will face the Longhorns on Dec. 17 at a neutral site in Houston. The Hogs own an 86-67overall record against their old Southwest Conference rival but dropped their previous meeting 79-46 in 2011.

Arkansas will face Oklahoma State on Jan. 28 as part of the Big XII/SEC Challenge as the game will be televised by the ESPN family of networks. Oklahoma State has dominated the rivalry, wining 36 of the 50 meetings, but the two haven’t faced one another since the 2003-04 season.

The new season will tip off on Oct. 28 as Arkansas will host Central Missouri in the first of two exhibition games. The regular season begins on Nov. 11 vs Fort Wayne.
