UPDATE: 14-Day-Old Girl Located Safely, Search For Suspect Continues


PONTOTOC COUNTY, Okla. (KOTV) – The subject of the Amber Alert issued near Ada has been located and is in protective custody. They say they are still searching for Santiago Ruiz.


An Amber Alert has been issued for a 14-day-old girl near Ada.

According to officials, Charlotte Ruiz, a 14-day-old Indian female, was last seen about three miles east of Ada around 5:00 p.m. Monday.

She was wearing a light pink onsie with a heart on the front.

Police are searching for Santiago Ruiz. He’s described as a 33-year-old Hispanic male around 5-feet-9-inches tall and 200 pounds.

They say he has brown eyes, long dark hair and was last seen wearing a brown shirt with sleeves cut off and shorts. He also has a tattoo of the word “outlaw” on his left leg and numerous tattoos on both arms.

Police say they are looking for a white Chevrolet pickup extended cab with a Cheyenne-Arapaho tag – 016011.

According to the report, Santiago Ruiz became violent and threw the mother out of the vehicle, made threats to kill himself and the victim.

They believe he is headed to Longdale, Oklahoma and is possibly under the influence of narcotics.
