LITTLE ROCK (KFSM) – A committee opposing an amendment slated to be on the November ballot has filed a lawsuit against the Arkansas Supreme Court.
Fairness for Arkansans has petitioned the state’s highest court to remove Issue 4 from the ballot.
The measure would allow legislature to place a limit on economic damages awarded for medical injuries against health care companies, according to the documents.
The lawsuit claimed that contingency fees for attorneys in medical cases would also be limited if the proposal is approved.
