FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) -- Big things are happening within the local film industry. The Fayetteville Film Fest starts Sept. 6, on the downtown square. Just up the road, a Fayetteville building is being renovated and turned into a state-of-the-art production studio.

Blake Elder, the president of Rockhill Studios, gave 5NEWS a tour of the new facility which will include a hair/makeup room, wardrobe room, conference room and 4,100 sq/ft sound stage.

“What we're going to do is basically build a building inside this building. We're going to add an additional wall to each of the walls with soundproof insulation, isolation clamps and things like that,” Elder said. “We're also going to completely silence our HVAC system. There's going to be great air-conditioning but no hums.”

Elder and his crew still have a lot of work to do. But, if all goes well, the production studio will be operational this fall.

The facility, which once housed “Boingo Bounce,” is located near the intersection of Township and College Avenue. To learn more about the production studio, click here.
