LITTLE ROCK (KFSM) — Governor Asa Hutchinson named a new chief of staff for external operations on Tuesday (Aug. 30).
Ozark Representative Bill Gossage was appointed to the position, leaving an opening in the 82nd District of the Arkansas House of Representatives.
Immediately following Hutchinson’s decision, a representative for republican Bobby Ballinger announced he would be seeking to fill the position.
Ballinger, son of Representative Bob Ballinger, is a Madison County native and currently lives in Franklin County.
Ozark attorney Sarah Capp is also expected to run for the seat vacated by Gossage.
