Returning Defensive Starters: 8
Offense: Spread
Defense: 3-4
Key Players: SR Tre Norwood QB/CB / SR Hayden Brown OL

FORT SMITH (KFSM)-  Last season Northside lost three games by 11 points or less, the Grizzlies chalked it up to little mistakes they cost them wins. So during the offseason when it came for the preparation for this fall, they focused on the details to prevent repeating what happened last year.

"Last year we kind of beat ourselves, turnovers, unnecessary penalties," said senior Tre Norwood. "So this year I feel like if we can eliminate those little mistakes, those costly mistakes I feel like we'll have a good chance."

The Grizzlies have all the pieces of the puzzle in place to make a better run at a winning season this time around. Northside has one of the largest senior classes this year that head coach Mike Falleur can remember (28 total) and from that group they have 15 total returning starters on both sides of the ball. Many of the seniors felt like they could have accomplished more than their records shows last season.

"What we have tried to stress to these guys all year is how we can't do dumb things," said Falleur. "We can't turn the ball over can't give up big plays and if we'll do that it will be the reverse of what it was last year."

Northside will kick off their season against Greenwood on September the 2nd at 7:00 p.m.
