WASHINGTON COUNTY (KFSM) — A wreck involving several vehicles blocked the northbound lanes of I-49 in the Bobby Hooper Tunnel Saturday (Sept. 3).
Arkansas State Police said as many as 10 vehicles were involved in what was likely a chain reaction of rear-end collisions.
There were some minor injuries, according to ASP.
The wreck backed up traffic for several hours. There were more vehicles in the area than usual as fans headed to Northwest Arkansas for the first Razorback football game of the season.
Troopers had to divert traffic to one lane and the wreck was cleared by 2 p.m.
