The Razorbacks Defeat LA Tech 21-20 At Their Home Season Opener

FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM)- Saturday the Razorbacks held on for a win against Louisiana Tech, finishing 21-20 to start the season 1-0.

At halftime the Hogs were tied with the Bulldogs 14-14. In the first half Arkansas Quarterback Austin Allen was 13-for-19 with 149 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. LA Tech took the lead heading into the fourth quarter.

The Razorbacks finally hammered back in the fourth quarter. With around six minutes remaining in the fourth, Austin Allen’s 4-yard pass at the goal line to Jeremy Sprinkle for a touchdown helped the Hogs edge the Bulldogs and take the lead after the completion of the PAT.

Allen finished the game 20-of-29 passing for 191 yards and touchdowns. Allen’s main target of the day Keon Hatcher led all receivers with 86 yards receiving on six catches.

“Allen has a great relationship with Keon Hatcher and Drew Morgan.” said Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema. “Cody Hollister is gonna have to learn to catch the ball.”

Next the Razorbacks will take on TCU on September the 10th at 7:00 p.m.
