FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – After tallying seven tackles and half a sack in the 21-20 win the season opener, Arkansas defensive end Deatrich Wise was named the SEC defensive lineman of the week.
Wise and Jeremiah Ledbetter combined for a sack of Louisiana Tech’s J’Mar Smith late in the fourth quarter, causing the Bulldogs to punt. Arkansas’s offense never allowed Tech’s offense to get back onto the field as they were able to run out the clock.
Dating back to the 2015 season, Wise has recorded at least .5 sacks in the past five games and has 7.5 during that span.
