Chicken Pox Cases Are Dropping

What used to be a common childhood illness is now almost completely gone.

The Center for Disease Control says chicken pox cases have dropped by 85 percent in the last decade.

Children between five and 14 years old are where the greatest drop occurred.

The age group is the most likely to have received a second dose of the vaccine.

The CDC credits vaccination with preventing more than three and a half million cases of chicken pox each year.
