FORT SMITH (KFSM) -- If you want to bring a new pet into your home inexpensively, there's an opportunity for you to do that on Friday and Saturday (Sept. 9 and 10). A special 'All Lives Matter' adoption event is being held at the Sebastian County Humane Society.

You'll be able to adopt a dog or cat for only $30. Usually, adoptions can cost up to $100, so getting them for such a low price is a bargain. This will include their spay/neuter, micro-chipping and UTD on all vaccines including Rabies.

"They just have to come through the door, fall in love and we make the rest happen," said Amber Neal with the Sebastian County Humane Society.

The reason for this adoption event is to get more animals adopted from the shelter. The Sebastian County Humane Society hasĀ a constant overflow of dogs and cats. With the problem increasing, they're continuously trying to make space for the new animals coming in.

Currently, they have about 300 cats and more than 400 dogs.
