SPRINGDALE (KFSM)- The Shiloh Christian Saints have been working on getting back to their roots. In Friday's 44-42 victory against Little Rock Christian they showed glimpses of being once again the 4-A Power house that had once won three consecutive state titles.

"It was remarkable," said Saints' coach Jeff Conaway.  "Just a great job with our offensive linemen and our receivers blocking we converted some third downs on that drive, Connor Reece had several runs, and Broc Berus did a great job leading. Then putting the sophomore out there to kick the game winning field goal was just a remarkable feat for him and it was just a great team effort."

The game was a shootout, with senior quarterback Connor Reece leading the Saints' explosive offense. The three-year starter amassed 490 total yards and four touchdowns to get the win. Putting them one step closer to another 4-A championship.

"He was just impressive," said Conaway. "He did an excellent job setting up his blocks and being real effective in the run game he had a 147 yards rushing and then through the air threw for 341 yards and four touchdowns so just really dynamic with his ability to distribute the football."

"It was a big win our coaches did a great job of preparing us," said Connor Reece. "They had us ready and we went out and team played with a lot of heart we get down early and we never gave up and I think that was a good team building game for us."
