A new study claims our internal body clocks are programmed to fall asleep earlier and wake earlier.

The study also found that women are less alert at night than men and may be more likely to suffer work-related injuries on the night shift.

Researchers say women who ignore their internal body clocks are more likely to suffer from insomnia and feel drowsy during the day.
